As I write, civilians in cities and suburbs on both sides of the Israeli conflict are being bombed.
A few hours ago, Danny Vidislavski, the Executive Director of The Way to
Happiness Campaign in the Middle East, e-mailed me that he cannot allow his volunteers to distribute booklets by hand in northern Israel because “there is real and severe life danger to anyone moving in those areas. The war and missiles get closer to Tel Aviv [where Danny is headquartered] every day.”
He e-mailed me an urgent appeal for help, reprinted below.
The situation has spiraled out of control. We have seen many times how the sparks from a local conflict can engulf entire regions in a wildfire. I don’t need to tell you that today’s Middle East is a tinder box. And that Israel is armed with nuclear weapons. We must get the situation back under control NOW. To Peace Lovers,
In the last few days there has opened a new war in the Middle East.
This war was started by a few madmen for no reason at all!
We have suffered here from a war since October 2000 until around 2004. Due to extensive
The Way to Happiness activity we have done here, we succeeded to end the war after four years of deaths, destruction and sorrow all over the place.
The New War
At the moment there are 2 fronts to the war:
Israel – Lebanon
Israel – Palestine
The entities fighting with Israel on both fronts are working together.
There are more than 1,000 wounded and tens of deaths. One quarter to one third of the Israeli country is shut down due to the missiles, and life is stopped. About half of the Palestinians are under the same situation and about a quarter of the Lebanon people I guess.
This means millions of people, sitting in shelters, or just barricaded in their homes, sitting in fear, waiting for the next attack above their heads.
What We Can Do
In the 2000-2004 war we have distributed The Way to Happiness
booklets and have done The Way to Happiness workshops and thus
spread so much tolerance and understanding that the war was over.
This is the time to do the successful action once again.
We intend now:
* Massive distribution of The Way to Happiness booklets through newspapers.
* Tons of workshops and shows about The Way to Happiness for people in the affected areas, as well as soldiers.
Ideally, we will distribute now hundreds of thousands of booklets and will do hundreds of shows and workshops right now!!
This will help stop this madness which is escalating on a daily basis.
Please help us save lives here, and get back to real life to the millions who wait for it.
We know how to do it.
We have already done it for the last five years with unprecedented results!
We can do it once again!
