Workshops for Arabic-Speakers and Hebrew-Speakers !

Each month, volunteers deliver workshops to increasing numbers of both Hebrew-speaking and Arabic-speaking Israelis on values from The Way to Happiness like “Try to treat others as you would want them to treat you.” In July alone, volunteers delivered 116 workshops. This is over 4 workshops a day, 6 days a week – the highest ever in one month! Most workshops were given to children in summer camps. Workshop leaders organize games, tell stories and lead the children in skits. Recent venues have also included Israeli Customs, an insurance agency, a club for the disabled and, with the start of school, many, many classrooms and gatherings of teachers.

Palestinian Ministry of Education Trains 500 Senior Administrators on the Study Technology of L. Ron Hubbard !

Developing and  demonstrating conceptual understanding of new ideas by working them out in clay models, called “clay demos.”

In October, the Palestinian Ministry of Education delivered high-level workshops (see photos above) on the Study Technology, “Study Tech,” of L. Ron Hubbard. In all, 18 workshops were delivered to approximately 500 Supervisors from West Bank School Districts. Each Supervisor is in charge of the teaching of specific subjects like math or history within the District.

This is the most recent step in the Ministry’s Study Tech implementation program. The program started when, in Spring 2004, with your generous donations, we sponsored the training of four Master Teachers in St. Louis, Missouri. The four graduated as interned course supervisors, experts on Study Tech. Upon their return to the Ministry, they successfully piloted Study Tech in a Bethlehem private school. Earlier this year, they piloted the training of School District staff, culminating in the October workshops.

“All my colleagues thank you all for helping us in this amazing project.” – Zeinab Habash, General Secretary (retired),Palestinian Ministry of Education

Excerpt from Article in Al Quds, the largest Palestinian newspaper, March 29, 2005

“…the basics of Study Technology are methods that simplify teaching and enrich the curriculum in such a way so that the student becomes fully able to learn, to understand deeply, and can fully apply the materials in his practical life.”
